Dale Haworth Bebee of Ozona, Texas passed away on Monday, March 9,2015 of a massive heart attack while skiing in Colorado.

Dale was born on May 28, 1936 to Franklin (sic) [Franklyn] and Frances Bebee in Joplin, Missouri.

He was one of seven children and grew up in Neosho, Missouri.

Dale began a career in the oil business with Gulf Oil Company in 1955 which took him to Hobbs, New Mexico where he met and married Sandra Sue Carter on March 16,1957.

His career eventually took him to Ozona, Texas where he supervised the building of the Indian Wells Gas Plant on Pandale Road, south of Ozona. His career took him from Texas to Oklahoma then back to Texas.

In retirement he spent his time between his homes in Ozona, Texas and Breckenridge, Colorado.

Dale loved hiking, skiing (both water and snow), fishing, kayaking the Pecos River, gardening, playing racquetball and biking. Through these activities he developed a myriad of friendships and loved participating in these activities with family and friends.

Dale was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge where he held various positions including District Deputy Grand Master.

He will be remembered for his love and commitment to community service. His volunteerism included Meals On Wheels, Crockett County Historical Society, Crockett County Museum where he served as a board member, the Ozona Visitor Center Interpretive Nature Trail, Crockett County Ambassadors, Crockett County Senior Center where he assisted teaching square dance lessons and served as a board member.

Dale is survived by Sandy Bebee his wife of 58 years.

His daughters Belinda Faye Wilkins and husband Steve Wilkins of Ozona, Texas, Karen Sue Bebee of New York, New York and Kimberly Dale Aldridge and husband Vaden Aldridge of Christoval, Texas.

His grandchildren Tara Wilkins of Dolores, Colorado, Lauren Matthews and husband Josh Matthews of Castle Rock, Colorado and Mason Wilkins of Ozona, Texas. Great grandson Lucas Mark Matthews, numerous nieces and nephews, bonus great grandchildren Makailey and Vallyn Rosales and god grandchildren Sammie, Annie and Ben Van Norstrand.

He is also survived by his sisters Pat Narup of Denver, Colorado, Sue Wilson of Ardmore, Oklahoma and Karen Mill and husband Bob Mill of Denver, Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Mildred (sic) [Hildred] Hoofnagle and Jeanne Kinney and brother Jack Bebee.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Ozona United Methodist Church Building Fund, the Ozona Community Handbell Choir, the Crockett County Museum or the Ozona Chamber of Commerce Interpretive Nature Trail.

Services were held at the Ozona United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 14, 2015.

Dale will always be remembered as a man who had a kind word and a firm handshake for all those who crossed his path.
