Connie Joann Bentley, 92, passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007
in a local care center. She was bom to Jim and Emma Pearl Sellers in Harrisburg, Okla. Indian Territory on April 29, 1916. She lived most of her life in the Indian Territory. She was very proud of her Native American heritage
and being a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
She married Roy Bentley in Walters, Okla. and later moved with him
to Texas. They shared many years together before his death in 1976.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, in Cedar
Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Brenda McCollum, and her husband Jim, of London, Texas; Quanah Mann of Poteau, Okla. and Shirley Dennis of Alice, Texas; two sons. Jack Bentley, and his wife Paulene, of Ozona and Larry Bentley, and his wife Liza, of Wichita, Kan. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Connie was a beloved wife, mom, granny and Great Gran. It is so difficult to say goodbye because we loved her so and will forever miss her.
