Georgia Nell Senne Haire

Georgia Nell Haire, 90, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018. Visitation will be held all day Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 1, 2018 in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Ozona, TX. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.

Georgia was born August 15, 1927 in Ozona, TX to George and Srilda Senne.

She married Wilburn Dorris “W.D.” Haire and they made Ozona their home for many years. After W.D. retired they moved to San Angelo to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law, and the grandchildren.

Georgia always attended church faithfully every Sunday and Wednesday. She was a member at the Church of Christ in Ozona and then after moving to San Angelo she became a member of Westside Church of Christ.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, who above all, enjoyed being at home caring for her family. Georgia was an immaculate house keeper and kept her house clean and neat. She enjoyed gardening, yard work and working with her house plants.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents and one sister, Muriel Gillet; granddaughter, Teresa Ireland.

Georgia is survived by her daughter, Marcia Ingham and husband Leroy; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one nephew; and many dear friends.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Meadow Creek Nursing Home and Kindred Hospice for their loving and compassionate care of our mother and grandmother.
