JoAnn “Shorty” Lowe Babbitt
She was born in Coleman County August 25, 1941, To Joe and Arlene ( McQueen) Lowe.
She married R.B.Babbitt July 5, 1958.
They moved to Ozona in 1971. She worked for the Ozona Chamber of Commerce for several years. In 1978 she began a career with Ozona National Bank where she retired. She continued to work for the bank part time until her death.
She was extremely active in the community as a volunteer for several organizations including the Crockett County Senior center where she served on the board of directors. She was active in the First Baptist Church. Volunteer work was her passion.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 44 years.
She is survived by her children, Cliff Babbitt and wife Diane of Idalou, Toi Love and husband Bobby of Harper, Grandchildren Brandon Babbitt of Dallas, Trevor Babbitt and wife Jessica of Austin, Holly Babbitt and fiancee Nathan Harrist of Lubbock, Destinee Love-Campbell and husband Kiddo Campbell of Post.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Crockett County Senior Center, Crockett County Library, Cancer Research, Hospice of San Angelo, or a charity of your choice.
