Alberto "Beto" Reyes Ramos

Alberto “Beto” Reyes Ramos of Ozona, Texas went to be with the Lord on Oct. 26, 2021.  He was 68 years old.  Services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, October 30th, 2021 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ozona, Texas.  Burial will follow at Lima Cemetery. 
 
Alberto “Beto” Reyes Ramos was born on April 27th, 1953 in Ozona, Texas, son of Felipe & Socorro Castro and Cruz & Manuela Reyes of San Carlos, Coahuila, Mexico.  He and his wife Estela were married on December 29th, 1972 and had two children, Maria and Albert.  He resided in Ozona, Texas and attended OLPH Catholic Church and participated in the choir.  He was a humble and kind man who worked for many years in ranching and later in the oil field, retiring in 1996.  He was a loving father and husband and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and brothers & sisters.  He became an avid fan of the Ozona Lions Football team when his grandsons Mikey, A.J., and Mark joined the team and attended as many games as he could even after they graduated and continued watching his grandson Matt for Ozona Middle School.  He was well-known in the community and known affectionately to his friends and grandchildren as “Ito” and to his nieces and nephews as “Papi.”  
 
He is survived by his wife of 48 years Estela Ramos; daughter Maria Ybarra and her husband Michael Ybarra of Ozona; grandchildren Mark and his wife Elizabeth, Matt Ybarra, Albert & Bella Ramos, and great-grandchildren Zander Ramos and Stephan Ybarra, all of Ozona Texas; brother Juan Castro and his wife Kelly of Kyle; brother Felipe Castro and his wife Jill of Pflugerville; sister Belia Garza and her husband Lalo of Ozona; brother Ismael Castro of Ozona; sister Santa Garza and her husband Gilbert of Ozona; and numerous nieces and nephews. He also considered Uvaldo Reyes, Angelica Reyes Flores, Yolisma Reyes Gonzalez, Margarita Reyes Olivo like brother and sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents Felipe & Socorro Castro and Cruz & Manuela Reyes, son Albert E. Ramos, grandson Michael Ybarra, Jr., brothers Eginio Castro and Adolfo Reyes and sister Dolores Reyes Alba.
