Dennis B. Newby

Dennis B. Newby 78, of Ozona passed away on May 16, 2024 at home surrounded by his family, friends, but most importantly, his wife Selena. He took his last breath while holding hands with his loving wife. 
     He was a Veteran of the Vietnam war and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. 
     Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Selena, daughter Heidi (Mike) Weddle, sons Guy Newby, Dean (Miriam) McCarnes, and Felipe (Laisha) Irlas. Grandchildren Jonathan Weddle, Jessica Nelson, Jeremiah Sky, Zachariah Newby, Josh and William McCarns. He is also survived by a very special nephew who he looked after as his own, Andrew S Galindo. He is also survived by his sister Joni (George) Breland, David (Jodi) Newby, and Dan (Barbara)Newby, and in-laws Leti (Johnny) Porras and Selma Metzger. 
     Dennis is preceded in death by his parents Roy and Joan Newby, sister Judy Newby, and father-in-law, Andrew O Galindo. 
     Viewing will be at Preddy Funeral Home Sunday, May 19th & 20th from 9 am to 9 pm. Funeral services will be at Our Lady Perpetual of Help Catholic Church in Ozona, TX on Wednesday, May 22nd at 10 am with graveside to follow at Lima Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by Preddy Funeral Home.
