Irene Ramirez Gonzales

After a long battle with Alzheimer’s, Irene R. Gonzales, went to her heavenly home on July 10th 2025. Irene was born on May 27th 1937.
     She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Joe R. Gonzales, an 11 month old infant son Jose Luis Gonzales, her parents Julian & Ysabel Ramirez, a sister Belia Reyes, 3 brothers “Goyo”, “Tard”, and “Bronson”, and also a half brother “Choco”.
     She is survived by her son Richard Gonzales & wife Sue, daughters Edna Davila from Odessa, Tx, Norma Perez, and Betty Castro from Ozona, Tx, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces & nephews that she loved dearly. Also, her brother “Naco” and two sisters “Chila” and Uki.
     Irene was loved by many. She won the hearts of many emplyees as well as residents at the care centem where she resided these last 2 ½ years.
     We would like to thank the Crockett County Care Center Staff for all the loving care she was given while there. A very special thank you to Hospice LVN Veronica “Ronnie” Fierro. Ronnie held a very special place in Mom’s heart as her voice would always bring a smile to Mom’s face. Mom will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

     Viewing will be Saturday, July 12th & July 13th from 9 AM – 9 PM at Preddy Funeral Home. Church services will be held on Monday, July 14th at 10 am at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by Preddy Funeral Home.
