Patsy Jean Higginbottom Gutierrez passed on to her next life on August 4, 2021 surrounded by her siblings, children, and grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband Emilio L. Gutierrez, parents Walter and Elvira Higginbottom and siblings William Walter Higginbottom, Jr., Elva Navarro, Henry Sanchez, and Valentin Gonzales.

She was born on October 20,1952 to Elvira and Walter Higginbottom in Ozona, Texas.

 

What Patsy was most known for was her infectious laugh, quick sense of humor, impeccable memory, and exquisite taste in jewelry. In her youth, she lived in California, Virginia as well as Spain, but called Ozona her true home and raised her children and grandchildren there.

 

Surviving Patsy is son Sotero, (Shelly) of Midland, TX, Daughter Sandra Sanchez of San Antonio, TX. Sons Samuel Fuentes and Shayne Fuentes (Christina) of Odessa, TX.

Her beautiful grandchildren Anna Davis, Gabriela,Trevino, Sean Fuentes, Ryan Sanchez, Christian Fuentes, Michael Fuentes, Matthew Fuentes, Cloe Aguilar, Kimberlee Fuentes, Aryn Sanchez, and Sara Fuentes, 8 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive her, and were the source of constant joy for Patsy.

 

She is also survived by her brothers Robert Flores (Mela), Oscar Flores, Ronald Higginbottom (Jennifer), Donald Higginbottom (Diana), and sister Janell Tambunga (Jimmy).

Patsy was laid to rest on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Services were held at OLPH Catholic Church and interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Ozona, Texas.
